For its first long solar-powered flight, XSun has already achieved an impressive 12 hrs flight in nominal conditions (with payload): take off at 8:30am, landing at 8:35pm – a clean, carbon-free, silent and 100% autonomous 600km flight!
This confirms the mathematical, physical simulations and the work done over the last 4 years in terms of research and development. after more than 180 test flights, this endurance test is one of the last major tests from the overall flight validation program.
This flight expands the field of possibilities that was previously unreachable by UAVs.
XSun will now be able to start missions with its partners in the fields of infrastructure monitoring, agriculture, mapping and maritime applications.
